Open the DMG and drag EyeOh into Applications. Prefer an archive? Download the ZIP.

Launch EyeOh from Applications. Its route symbol appears in the menu bar.

Pick an input, output, or preferred camera. Preview only when needed.
Private by default
EyeOh never listens or records.
Device choices and volume presets stay on your Mac. Camera access is used only for a preview you explicitly open. Optional product statistics and crash reporting are separate, off by default, minimised, and can be withdrawn at any time.

Why didn’t Teams or Zoom change devices?
Meeting apps can be pinned to a named device. Choose “Default” or “System” in that app so it follows EyeOh.
Why didn’t macOS Voice Control change microphones?
Voice Control has its own microphone choice under System Settings → Accessibility → Voice Control. Apple does not provide apps with a supported way to change that separate selection, so choose the same microphone there or use Automatic.
Does EyeOh need microphone permission?
No. It changes device settings but never captures microphone audio.
Why does camera preview need permission?
macOS requires permission to show a live view. EyeOh asks only when you open Preview and stops when you close it.
Can I use my iPhone camera?
Yes. An eligible nearby iPhone made available by Apple Continuity Camera appears automatically.
What do the privacy switches send?
Nothing while off. Statistics are six fixed feature events; crash reporting is technical crash/hang data. Neither includes device names, recordings, screenshots, or contact details.
Is EyeOh open source?
Yes. EyeOh Core is MIT-licensed. Official Dark Ice names and artwork are protected separately.
